  • Although the cover art is a matter of taste, the sound quality and pressing are solid clear and very good!Anyone interested pm.And by the way: the legitimacy of a certain label from Austria flooding the market with releases of super rare gems from Africa, eastern European, USA and with various genres has been sort of a tsumani debate in the collectors cummunity for a while. But the tremendous amount of releases with a certain number of proven legality releases made the label legit and it is to be found in most stores now... I think the legitimacy discussion nowadays has it´s reason, yet it is down to believe and thereby personal purchase decisions.

  • What label is this? I cannot find any information about it on internet? do they have any homepage? i also don't like the design of the covers (it's really ugly!), but pressing quality is really good.

  • From the perspective of the bootleggers: Don't like the bootleg? Make a legitimate reissue.Agree with LorikeetRecords on this one, however i'm 110% sure there is a rip of the original out there somewhere in 24/96 quality. My question is this, why is there so much attention around this release? I've got many soviet albums of all sorts of music, never have I found english comments under their release page before. If anyone can tell me what's the buzz, would be much appreciated.

  • yes, there is a place called rutracker.org and plastinka.org where you can download almost every fukkin melodiya record in 24/96 quality... gosh this cover really sucks!

  • buzz because it was made without any respect to the authors. is seems the goal of bootleggers was just to get some money and not sharing it with musicians who's still alive.

  • All the buzz is because russian sellers can't sell their grandmother's old Melodia vinyls by 1000 euro price anymore else)

  • Sounds resonable, but you forgot about people who WROTE this music. 6 of 7 members of the band are still alive and bootleggers rob them with this bootleg.Hey bootleggers connect me if you want to pay some money to the band's members or at least give them few copies of your bootleg..

  • Allow me - as a young vinyl enthousiast - to throw in my opinion (and ladies and gentlemen, hold your vagina's, this is just an opinion on the internet, which frankly, isn't worth that much). I actually like that they reissued this. I don't care either that this is an illegal bootleg (copyright bladibla whatever). The cover art, sure, it's not super but also not horrible. Also - because I'm not rich or any of that - I'm not going to pay some random dude on the internet 500 euro's for a single record, just because it's an original. To me, it's not worth the money; I also need to pay my rent. But if you - as an audiophile - find this sort of thing horrible, than sure, you're entitled to your opinion. The only problem with that opinion - as I'm assuming from reading the comments thusfar - is that nobody took the time to actually buy it, listen to it and give their opinion. To add to that: if you'd do a scientific double-blind spectrum analysis of the audio between an original and this bootleg - you probably wouldn't hear that many changes. If somebody can proof that the original sounds better to the human ear, than go reissue it from the master-tapes and send me a message, but in the mean time I find this to be a nice alternative to spending 500 euro's on a VG original.

  • Well, I just gave one more spin to this LP for final opinion. This is good sound boot and quality press for fair price. I wanted this one for years, but 500 euro for old noisy vinyl that's really not my choice. I'm not so rich. I don't know if this one in official or not, but I'm old man and don't care too much about things like that, if it's worth money I paid. Strange artwork decision although, I don't like it, why just not to do facsimile?
