  • I have both this black vinyl version and the smokey coloured vinyl version, i have to say that listening to both, I don't hear a difference, both have a very good dynamic range of low. middle, top and warm...... they play beautifully

  • non fill issue at the start of fade into you wonderful ,,,, learn how to press records

  • Purchased this because of the positive reviews of the press. Mine sounds like crap. Washed twice and has loud crackles on the right channel through most of the first side. Lots of visible scratches as well. Taking it back.

  • Not the best mastering, either. A fair amount of sibilance and splatter, like they came right from the CD master and forgot to de-ess the thing.

  • Picked up another copy. First track has noise in the right channel for the first minute or so. Hopefully I can clean it out. The vinyl itself has lots of scuffs and dings though. Nothing audible yet.

  • Sounds amazing! Clean flat pressing. Dynamic and nice sound stage. They did a great job!

  • I'm so happy with this pressing after returning several copies of the Plain reissue to Amazon. I cleaned it before playing (as I do with every record I buy) and it's dead quiet and the audio is really top notch.

  • I am so glad that I didn't give in and buy a Plain reissue after reading a fair amount of negative comments, this version is perfect and sounds just wonderful, very dynamic and dead quiet, buy this one with confidence I hope that Capitol reissues Among My Swan also

  • I returned 3 copies of the 2015 Plain reissue. No good, you must have gotten very lucky.

  • The 2010 Plain reissue is garbage, but the 2015 Plain version (which, unlike the 2010 Plain reissue, is a collaboration with the highly esteemed Universal Music Special Markets) is the best I've heard. If you really want the best version, go with that.

  • Mine came on clear vinyl with no sticker on shrink and no mp3.

  • the sound quality is really good, good dyanamics, great pressing

  • Perfect pressing, and I think a damn near perfect record.

  • Extremely good, solid sound quality on this US pressing. No noise I can hear. Cleaned my new copy prior to playing, and there was a small bit of debris on it - so maybe that's the cause of some of the reports here?

  • Killer pressing at a good price. If only all reissues were this good. Zero complaints. Highly recommended. The sound is superb and my copy is nice and quiet. Absolutely no pops, warps or distortion for me.

  • Copy was dead silent and the vinyl was very flat. Sounded AMAZING right away. So glad to finally see this album get a proper reissue that sounds incredible.

  • Shame to hear some aren't fully satisfied with their copies. I bought this one for my wife, and we took it for a spin tonight. I'm extremely impressed with this pressing. The mix is very dynamic with a strong, forceful bass and a lovely presence in that voice. My copy was dead quiet, too. Highly recommend.

  • i bought it over the weekend & it was delivered today i gave it a spin sounds nice for a single LP press.

  • Listening to it now. There are some pops here and there but no continuous surface noise. Im Happy with it.

  • US version has plain white inner sleeve with a photo insert

  • Just listening to the Euro version, sounds amazing. Not super impressed by the generic white inner sleeve, does the US version have a printed inner? I believe the original had a printed inner

  • how's the sound quality on this pressing? . . .

  • My copy had a warp and a skip on track 1. Exchanged it at the store. We will see about the second copy.

  • Incredible, well done re-issue on par with the first 1993 pressing.

  • I have a feeling (just a feeling) that United pressed it.

  • No complaints here. Didn't notice any surface noise, and side 1 in particular sounded quite good to me.

  • Press quality is ok, mine has scuffs from paper inner sleeves and it was shrink wrapped tight and it has a warp that my Vinyl Flat will eventually take out. It was mastered by Ian Sefchick (Deadwax I with S sideways). I do not recognize the markings for pressing plant. Anyone out there in Discogs land know who pressed it? Sound is very nice, although Optimal press in EU may be better.
