  • What happened to this series? We had a string of amazing anthems compiled into a compilation but by 2000, they became more and more uninspired and un-listenable.
There were many great inspiring tunes to listen to released around this time (2001), but they just left them out. They obviously have a rule to keep the highest UK chart singles in here at the time, which is fine, but it would have been best if they had just kept it strictly dancing, rather than these boring pop hits, repeats from the previous album and outright blandness. OK, yes I did like a fair list of the songs from Disc 1, and a couple near the end of the second, but overall counting the number of tracks (44 in total), it just does not add up.

For the first CD, there are only a few good tracks that came out of it. I can point out 'Rock DJ - Robbie Williams', 'Lady - Modjo', and then every track between #11-18. I am more of the dance, disco to techno kind of person, which the earlier versions did well. So there are a few really nice memories to be seen from here, with my favourite being the Big Brother UK Theme, followed by Fragma's 'Everytime You Need Me'. Overall, it's a decent first disc, but let down by the first half..

As far as disc 2 is concerned, I didn't like any song on here except for tracks # 15-20. That's five songs, with my favourite being Alice Deejay's 'Celebrate Our Love' and Fragma's 'You Are Alive'. Those two are pure classics! Love them. I just wish the rest of the album could have been terrific, as the first ten or so songs were dull and almost non dance. Again, just my personal perspective but I was expecting so much more out of this.
